Bjørn Apeland founded Amar Group in 2004. And with the purchase of Steinsvik Group, entered the aquaculture industry.

The serial entrepreneur has since started numerous companies through Amar Group, with a special interest in marine technology and the seafood industry. His former experience is comprised of several leadership positions within the fields of mechanics, energy, and other technologically driven industries.

Bjørnar Apeland has over 18 years of operational and R&D experience from aquaculture technology development and production from various companies. He is a co-owner of Amar Group and has actively worked with us since 2018, first in the role of COO, before accepting the CEO position in 2022.
